Boosting students’ employability and digital skills – a transnational experience by IHF

In July 2021, IHF organised in collaboration with RUDN university (Moscow) a Multiplier Event of the IDEA project with the aim to mainstream, give visibility and valorise Project Results, and most importantly, to mediate participants’ opinion on possible ways to sustain further exploitation of IDEA’s training materials within their educational and training settings.

Targets were represented by HE students, HEIs’ administrative staff, researchers and PhDs.

After formal welcome and introduction, IHF guided participants across the whole implementation cycle of the project history, form its proposal to major milestones.

IHF discussed with participants about the “ratio” behind IDEA proposal in terms of needs assessment, “missed opportunities”, gaps and challenges…

A brief presentation of the consortium followed immediately after. IHF shown participants the organisation/institutions involved in the project, including distribution of roles and responsibilities. From there, IHF presented technical and operative functionalities of the OER Platform as formal repository and “digital” showcase of IDEA’s deliverables. By navigating the Platform, IHF access the IO2 “box” and shown participants results and key findings from our secondary assessment.

The last section was dedicated to a very comprehensive presentation of structure, design and content of the IDEA’s training curricula:

Participants demonstrate to be very engaged and responsive. They shared personal experiences, inputs, and most importantly, signs of appreciation and validation.

Overall, this event represented a concrete valorisation and validation opportunity with it a cohort of audience representing the very core of IDEA’s targets.
